Why do eye colors change?

What's your eye color? Does it change colors? and...What's your favorite color? Why??

  • I know people whose eye color can change over time. (like from blue to green or vice versa or any combination of eye colors) I was wondering what is natural phenomena is called and is there is scientific reason for it? I know this girl, the outer rim of her iris is light yellow, and the whole iris is a intense greenish blue. And a guy whose eye color changes about every other week.

    I'm not really sure, but from what I understand it to could be some chemical changes in the body based on your feeling and what horomones your brain is releasing. My teacher told me that some teenagers have eyes that change color because of hormonal changes, and when they become adults, their eyes will probably remain one certain color. I have dark brown eyes, whenever i get angry they turn dark green, when I'm sick they turn almost the color of a cats.( pale greenish, yellowish). My heritage is american indian. I have no idea why this happens. My favorite color is green, and black. green is for money and black makes me look skinnier and taller.

I don't know why this happens either, but I have a friend who's eyes are green on the outside and bright red and orange on the inside. And my own eyes used to be completely blue, but they're dark green now. I also used to know a girl whose eyes were green when it was dark out or if she was inside, and when she stepped outside or into the light her eyes turned blue. I sat there with flashlight for a minute and watched them change, it's pretty cool to see.
