What can I do if my face is always getting flushed?

Why is my face getting hot and flushed?

  • for awhile now about a year on and off patches of my face will get really red and really hot. it will last anywhere from 5-20 mins then go away. i get them every other day or so. like there is a patch under my chin, and the sides of my face will just get red and feel hot. i do not know why. i am 26 and i have a thyroid problem that i take levothyroxine for, and an ovulation disorder that i take sprintec for. last time i went to the doctor they sent me to the lab and they said my thyroid was fine. i am also tired a lot but i assume it is from the thyroid. does anyone know what it could be or what i can do about the fatigue? thanks.

  • Answer:

My stepmom has a thyroid problem however she never encountered this issue. You're in the mid-20's so part of it could be hot flashes. That's around when they start occurring. Another thing I would look into is medicine side effects. I know it's uncommon but usually in the rare side effects, when it comes to medications, there's usually something like "overheat, fever, skin rash, flu symptoms, acne, etc." Things that involve high body temperature and skin problems. I have a big feeling it's medicine side effects. I'd check all of them out and read them if I were you. The fatigue is DEFINITELY from both. Low thyroid can make you lazy. High thyroid can make you worn out and tired. And almost every medicine (pill, cream, liquid, etc.) in the book, has a side effect of tiredness.
