Is it common to get a period so quickly when starting metformin?

Is it normal to get excruciating pain before starting monthly period?

  • I get terrible pain a few days before starting my actual period. Sometimes I can't even stand and I feel really weak and dizzy before starting my period. Is this normal?

  • Answer:

This sounds like you may suffere from anemia or just have bad periods, to help take ibprophen and use hot/cold heat wraps. also go to doc to be checked for anemia. if you have heavy periods they may put you on something to lighten it.

I use to be like that. I was anemic, but I wouldn't get dizzy until after I started. The pain could be a number of things, I had terrible pain too. To be safe I would get a check up. I hate those kind of check ups, but they are worth it.
