Whats the difference between an anime and a manga?

  • Im asking because i wasnt sure the difference between the Bleach anime, and the Manga. Im confused about the Bleach filler episodes.

  • Answer:

Hold on. Gimme a second. Manga is to read, like comics, and anime is to watch, like cartoons. If there is of both, then it is called Animanga. No lie. The fillers are used because the manga and the anime are really close and the anime needs to stall. I personally never liked Bleach fillers because they have nothing to do with the manga storyline, just to fill in. But don't worry. Sometimes it helps the manga later on.

Manga-read Anime-watch However there are differences between the two other then one watch and the other you read. Unlike the anime the manga is something that you read. Also the manga is the original story line. Sometimes anime's tend to move away from the original story line. Also the manga is and black and white and no color. Also with the manga the story/plot is usually ahead of the anime The anime is different because it is something that you watch instead of read. In anime everything is in motion that also follows the main plot. Anime tend to follow the manga, but sometimes can contain fillers(episodes that aren't part of the original plot/story),also with anime everything is in color and often has music that is used in the show.

90% of the time, the Manga came first. The Anime is basically the animated version of the Manga. Filler episodes are stories not found in the manga and are designed to give the manga a head start to cover further stories. The other 10% is covered by these unusual situations: anime based off a hentai game / computer game (Fate/Stay night), manga based off the anime (Mai-Hime), anime based off a novel (Shakugan no Shana).

An anime is a Japanese-style Japanese-origin animation. A manga is a Japanese-style comics. Manga is not necessarily Japanese in origin. Some mangakas (manga authors) live outside Japan but are predominantly Japanese in their ethnicity. For anime, no animation produced outside Japan has ever been labeled as an anime. Even the US produced Avatar: The Last Air Bender (which shares numerous qualities with an anime and which is admittedly influenced by well-known anime series) was never called as an anime. Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime to further know the difference of anime with non-Japanese animations. Filler episodes are anime episodes which are not found in the manga. In general, one anime episode covers several manga chapters. Since both anime epiosode and manga chapter are aired/published weekly, there will come a time that the anime will catch up with the manga. To solve this problem, either the anime comes to a hiatus or the anime have filler episodes to further the gap between the latest anime story with the manga's. Filler episodes are stand-alone stories and do not affect the main storyline.

well in animes you actually watch a show and in mangas ya read, I personally think the mangas can get frustrating to read at times cause 1st you are reading from right to left instead of left to right 2nd the font can be too small at times and 3rd the anime and mangas don't always follow each other so you either do one or the other!

The Manga comes first, and the anime comes second. There really isnt a difference, the anime copies the manga and makes a few adjustments, the anime never completes the WHOLE series of manga. JUst to get you to like the anime and then it gets you to buy the manga.
