Will there be a Death Note Hollywood movie?

POLL: Would you watch the american remake of Death Note(movie)?

  • So I'm sure most people (Death Note fans) know that there will be a remake of the Death Note movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1241317/ Yep. It's coming out in 2 years time. The wait. Apparently it will be adapted from the manga, not like the Japanese movie (L changes the world). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Note#United_States_remake Rumours have been spreading, Zac Efron will be Light, personally I don't think that'd a bad choice. He looks like light, he's good at acting too. So yeah, question says it all. Would you watch it? For me? Hell yeah. Even if its crap I'd watch it, because it's Death Note!

It's a bit late for them to be adapting it into ANOTHER movie seeing as there is already 2 Japanese films, which were pretty good. They will just ruin the name of Death Note and should just let this old anime rest in history with it's good status.

By all means(!), I would so watch it. And the news that you said just did it for me. I would've really wanted them to really follow the anime, because I so loved the anime, but I hated the japanese movie version. And its Zac Efron. The works!

I have vowed to go watch it at theatres the day it comes out. I personally think that Zac Efron will be an excellent choice for Light. I can't wait to see who will play L and Mello. Whoever plays Mello is lucky cos they get to eat so much chocolate... XP I think that the US version will be a big hit because we have so many DN fans here that it should be at the top of the charts. Even if it is crappy. I'm glad they are going to go by the manga version because it will be the actual story. I haven't seen the Japanese movie yet, but I plan to. My parents probably won't enjoy it cos they hate me reading and watching the anime, but they're not hard core DN fans like me... :3
