What do I do if a bank I got a loan through has no record of me ever opening the loan?

  • I bought a Ducati about a month ago and the bank they financed my loan through still hasn't sent me any loan information in the mail. Today I called the bank to see what the deal was; turns out that the bank has no record of any loan with my name or SSN. I wasn't given any account # at the time of purchase either. What am I supposed to do in this situation? The bank just tells me to wait for the loan info to come in the mail but my first payment is due in a couple weeks and I don't want any bad marks on my credit report.
