What are the duties and functions of a document controller?

  • please help me by anybody answering this and also exp in brief or detail the process of document controlling. or u can give me a link abt tis

  • Answer:

I worked for a trucking company and I did the billing. The Department I worked in was Document Control. Other people that worked in that Dept opened Truckers, Bill of Laden and Entered the info in the computer, that the Product had been shipped and delivered. That way we could bill the Customer and the Driver would get paid for the Shipment that he delivered. Also the paperwork had to be scanned and printed for billing purposes and the paper work also had to be filed. I am not sure where you work and if this the info you are searching for. But this is my two cents. ~pgg
