What kind of discount to best buy employees get?

i work there right now.after the probation period you get cost + 5%, or the actual selling price to customers,whichever is cheaper. if you dont know what that means, best buy purchases the item from the manufacturer at a certain price, which would be cost, then they add 5% to that for the employees.so you dont exactly get cost, but its still pretty good.

A buddy of mine works there and he says that every year, once day only, they get to buy stuff for the price that best buy bought them for, not what customers pay. So thats like 35% off right there

My roommate used to work in Best Buy, he told me that he can buy the product with the manufacturer's price. So it just like the employee buying directly from the manufactures.

Some of my friends work at Circuit City. They get discounts based on what they buy, for example CDs are ten percent off and stereos are a higher percentage (because they're more expensive). Idk how it works at Best Buy, but it's probably similar.
