How can I get over my fear of flying?

  • I have neva been on a plane but I want to get over this fear of flying I guess I'm still having flash backs of 9-11 so how do i get over it.

    understand this: if God said you'll die today. you'll die no matter where you are and no matter what you are trying to do to avoid it. can you tell your self what will happen to you tomorrow? you can't tell, right! can you tell your self who will calling you on the phone 3 hours from now? you can't! so, if you can't tell what gonna happen to you in 1 hour from now, then why you should worried about anything else beyond your reach? are you scared the plane will fall off the ground? don't you scared that maybe at this moment a plane might fall in front of your house? or you just scared that if you are dead you are not going to heaven? if you worried that you can't pay your credit bills, is your "worried" can pay the bills? worried cannot help you with anything. it cannot pay your bill, it cannot buy you something to eat, its not gonna make you stay younger, even its not gonna help you to breath. its useless. so, face it, its all beyond our reach. stop worried about your life. if God is so care about what the birds in the sky gonna eat today, don't you think He will care more about you? just live your life in God, leave all your worried to Him, then you'll see how everything even death is wonderfull. ps: -belief in Him its the only way to live our life happily and free from fear. Really the only way to do it, is to actually take action, and cut you're fears and fly! fly! fly!

Your fear is justified. Go to a park where they fly model airplanes and watch for a while. You will see lots of crashes. Next time you fly the airlines, try to find out how old the plane is, they're not all new. Of course you'll never get an answer to that question. And how do they make ends meet with those cut-rate fares? Has there ever been a year when zero planes crashed, hardly. Then you have the drunk pilots. You just take your chances.

the only thing you have to be afraid of is "fear" itself ... c'mon, what else could possibly go wrong ?! is it safer walking on the streets, driving a car, taking the train or bus ?! go on board, have a drink & relax ... soon you'll get over it :-)

the best solution is still facing your fear but if you can't or if you just need a quick solution you just; while flying focus your attention on a good book or watch a movie in your laptop ect.. w/ earphones on don't even think about looking out the window XD or if you have your sweetie with you.. cuddle! ;) that makes you loose all your fears XD

Ok this is a very common question for people alot of people fear flying what i would do is bring a book on the plane or a cd player to block out the sound so you dont hear any noises that turbulance might make and scare you. You can even try sleeping on the plane so you dont think about anything on the ride. I hope this helps you out i think this will help you fly again. ~Element~
