on ebay i sold a vhs lot that weight around 16 pounds and i got $60 for it, and u cant put more that $3 for shipping charges, i went to the post office and they said it would cost me $18 to ship it out, can i ask the buyer for more money for shipping or is that a thing not to do? i really want my $18 back some way. i expected to make 60 and i got 42, and if somebody bids on ur item and u havent shipped it out yet, and u found out it would cost a lot for shipping can u ask the buyer before u sent it out??

Answer:
First STOP using the damn text message-speak. It's ignorant. Second, who told you that you could only charge $3 for shipping? That's ridiculous. You can NOT ask buyer for more money. You have to ship it...next time find out what shipping will cost BEFORE you list on Ebay.
