How can I fix my DSi L Button?

My L Button on my Nintendo DSi won't respond and I checked online for many solutions, buying a new button switch, blowing into the buttons location, and sending it to Nintendo. I don't want to accidentally damage my DSi by soldering a new switch, I've blown into it many times (making it work for a few short seconds, plus adding microscopic saliva on electrical inards), and I can't afford Nintendos price. Are there any other ideas?

Answer:
I'm pretty sure that there is no other way then what you are doing now. My DSi has the same problem, and I just blow into it everytime I need to use it.
