What is the best PC RPG game out for now?

What's a good RPG game for PC with online capability (not MMORPG)?

  • My brother and I like to play cooperative RPG games (like Baulders Gate) but we live in different cities. Is there a good PC game that is similar to Baulders Gate, Diablo, or KotOR that has online capability to allow only two players to play together online? A quick glance at game boxes seemes like Dungeon Siege might work -- is it any good? I don't mind paying for a game at the store and having to install it.

    Dungeon Siege is good, but after a while it gets repetitive... You can try Sacred, its too good, but i doubt whether it has online capabilities!! I would love to play Diablo with someone online, sounds good!!! I'm a huge fan of RPG, but never got a chance to play along with someone like u do........ There is another game called - Warlords III - Battlecry. Its actually a mix of RPG and strategy... I liked it a lot....You can try it too... As i said Dungeon Siege may get boring after you play for a while, but since you will play online with Bro, you might like it better!!

The people who have posted above saying that RuneScape and World of Warcraft are some are complete and utter idiots. They are both MMORPG and he stated in the question "(not MMORPG)." And if you just don't know what MMORPG means it is "massive multilayer online role playing game." And I am pretty sure that those 2 fall in to that category. P.S. if you are one of the those who didn't know what MMORPG meant...why do you play games at all. Oh and regarding your question I have no clue.

Neverwinter Nights is a great game, it has two expansions along with the original game (retails for about $20-30) with a great linear story line. However if you dont want to quest by yourself, the game allows you to go online with the content. It also allows you to created modules and custom material using the same tools that the creaters of the game used. If you want something newer tho, guild wars is an incredibly beutiful game, and altho its an MMORPG, it doesnt have a monthly service fee.
