How is Xbox LIVE better than Playstation Network?

  • I don't get it! People always say Xbox LIVE is better than Playstation Network. My friend owns an Xbox 360 with a Gold LIVE account, I own a Playstation 3. Whenever he uses LIVE I don't notice anything different from Playstation Network. They both have the same features, but LIVE costs $50 dollars a year, and Playstation Network is free. What can Xbox LIVE do that makes it "better than Playstation Network" What are the features I am unaware of that Playstation Network can't do, but LIVE can?

    With Xbox Live, you get to send voice messages, eliminating the annoying on-screen keyboard for those of us without keyboards. It has better voice chat, and the party system is a nice addition. Better downloads and easier navigation is also plus. Managing friends, messages, etc. is much easier than on PlayStation network.

You can have live chat (as in private with people you choose, not in-game chat). The profile system (gamer tags) of XBL is more streamlined and easier to access than the whole trophies thing of PS3. The servers of XBL have more dedicated servers than PS3, which is to be expected, as you are paying for it, and most of the time, demos come out earlier for XBL. And if you think about it, $50 a year isn't really that unreasonable. Hope this helped.

Xbox live is a lot better. You can use Netflix. The marketplace is great. More people have Xbox.

Gosh hear about Halo 3 gets me angry so annoying I think PSN (play station network) is better its free but XBOX LIVE does have all the things those people said but in other news are 360 owners getting Killzone 2 or MAG I love rubbing it in my friends face :)

If you are a hardcore gamer, Xbox live is the way to go because it has better in-game features, better chat, and larger community. If you like extra features (like me), PSN is better because it has internet browser, Playstation Home, Folding @ Home, etc. Plus PSN is free! So it really depends on what you want
