What is better a xbox 360 elite or Playstation 3?

The RRoD has been fixed. Even if you get it, you have a 3 year warranty. Honestly, if you don't think you'll use the 120GB, the elite is a waste of money. Even the arcade has hdmi now, so pretty much the only thing the elite has going for it is the hard drive. Oh, and it's black lol.

My best guess is that the people telling you that 360's overheat too much probably owned PS3's, and didn't tell you anything about the PS3's problems. Many friends of mine own Xbox 360's and only 2 of the 15 or so friends got the red ring, and it was sent in and fixed for no charge. About 12 of my friends have PS3's and all of them but one have had to send theirs in. Game-wise: The Xbox 360 definitely has more game variety and better online quality than the PS3. I would definitely buy the Elite if I were you based off of their standings, I tried to be as unbiased as I could in that judgement.

its really up to personal choice. i don't have much experience with a PS3, but i do have an xbox 360 and really enjoy it if you go for the 360 (which i recommend) get the resident evil bundle. the red xbox 360 has all new hardware, so it makes the problem of it overheating go away, and its the same price as an elite, with the same hard drive size and everything, but comes with resident evil 5, street fighter, and a theme for it. i got an xbox for the first time with the 360 shortly after launch, and i'm really happy i did

Well most likely, if you aren't playing 12 hours straight...your XBOX won't RROD on you. Just keep it clean and in a well ventilated area. Give it a break when playing. But if it were to RROD. Microsoft has a 3 year warranty where if they can't fix it...they just send you a new one. -LIFE

its really up to you. first of all, the newer xbox 360's (arcade, pro, elite) have a very low chance of getting the rrod. PS3- system is way better xbox 360- better games and online play

yeah right, i have a 360 and i've had to send it in 5 times in 1 year and a half. i palyed the ps3, and depending on the game, it's better. ps3 has little big planet, not even call of duty can beat that!!!

I have gone through 2 Xbox's... one had the Red Ring of Death... the other had a DVD drive problem... but I got to say, I still love the xbox 360 although the PS3 is almost flawless.
