Can you play Nintendo gameboy advance games on the Nintendo Ds lite?

  • Hi people I just wanted to know, cand you play nintendo gameboy advance games on the nintendo Ds lite console as I thinking of getting a Ds lite for christmas for my son and he likes the look of charlie and the chocolate fatory only for gameboy advance, so can we put this game into the Ds lite cause that looks a real good hand held games devise.

    Even better than that. You can play any original Game Boy game, any Game Boy Color game, or any Game Boy Advance game on the DS. So if there's a really old game (Tetris or something) that you want, it is still playable.

yes you can put both gameboy and gameboy advance games in the bottom slot of the ds but you can't play ds games in the gameboy advance

Yes you can play Game boy advanced games on the d.s But not the other way around.

You can play GBA games (on the DSL the carts stick out a little way), but you cannot play GB or GBC games (The DS hasnt got the hardware to play these, unlike the GBA, and theres a small plastic tab that prevents you inserting the carts into the DS or DSL)

Yeah you can play Advance games on the DS lite. Ds's are also very fun when you play the DS games. The touch screen is so SUPER AWESOME!
