How to play domino?

Does anyone remember the Noid from the 80's Domino's Ads? Or did you ever play "Avoid the Noid?" If so...

  • Do you know where I can download the DOS version of "Avoid the Noid"? I found one site: http://www.dosgamesonline.com/index/game/Avoid%20the%20Noid/504 but when I unzip the file and start it up, it asks me in DOS mode if I have a joystick, I hit "N" and it takes me out of the game. Help?!?! I have a crazy-random obsession to play this game!

Oh, man. I remember that Noid, and had the best day of nostalgia when Family Guy did a spoof of it. Best episode ever. Adam West: "Perhaps it was the Noid who should have avoided me." Anyway, I did some searching around for an answer for you, but when I got back, it seemed you already had it figured out for yourself. But I also came here to give you a recommendation. Yay. :) If you're a fan of "Avoid the Noid," I'd suggest playing "Yo! Noid." It's a nifty little game for the NES, and it's pretty fun (and a little bit challenging). I remember staying up late with my grandma, taking turns and playing that game. Yeah, my grandma was the one who got me hooked on video games...go figure. Anyway, since I'm not a huge of fan of the rom/emulator thing, I figured I'd show you a better way to get access to Yo! Noid and several other Nintendo games for free. I like using a program called Console Classix, and when you sign up for a free account, you get access to their entire collection of Atari and Nintendo games for free. And if you want to pay $5 a month, you can have access to their Genesis, Gameboy, and Super Nintendo games as well (or you can donate a game to get a free month or so). Just a forewarning, though: paid users will get priority over free ones, and there are only a limited number of copies per game. If the one you want to play is unavailable, that means that all copies are being used at that time, so just try again later. Hope this helped a little bit, and have fun avoiding that Noid!

I remember that game. It wasn't very good. The 7-up dots game was a blast though. You should try to find that one instead.

try buying a cheap joysdtick and hit Y yes see if the game will load. If not keep looking of game sites.I have played this game when it was out on the Original Nintendo and it was ok.I would do searchies on the game sites or see if you can find the publisher and see if they can find it.You might wanna check with used game stores as well in your area.

I remember playing this on my computer years ago. It was a pretty fun little game. The Noid always sort of freaked me out. I'm not surprised they got rid of him as a mascot. There was a Noid game on the NES called "Yo Noid!", or at least it was in America. It was originally a Famicom game called Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru (Masked Ninja Hanamaru). The gameplay is the same, Capcom just altered it graphically for the US release. Yo Noid! isn't the same game as Avoid the Noid though, it's more of a platformer I think.

i know nothing of the game you're talking about, but you've already figured it out anyway, so that's that. my dad delivered for dominos pizza in the 80s, and he thought it was amusing how amused i was of the noid. i had so many toys of it... and i also had the nes game. the game wasn't that good, but it's still amusing. about two years ago, it was an amusement of mine to ask people 'if they remembered the noid, and what did he actually do?" no one really knew what he did, and i'd have to remind them that the noid ruins the freshness of your pizza for those that don't know, here's a picture of him - http://www.animateclay.com/albums/album02/noid5.jpg and... kalysyra beat me to the punch in the mention of the family guy episode with mayor west beating the noid up. i was glad it wasn't just a reference to the noid when he said to meg to watch the pizza, that the noid doesn't ruin the freshness of the pizza. i thought that was IT! but thank god, they added the noid being all... noidy..
