Why doesn't audio play from my browser?

PS2 doesnt work!?

  • i put a game in. turned on the power and the system comes on,but the game doesnt play. it stays on the part where it says, "browser and system configuration". when i click on browser the memory cards show up but the picture of the cd disk doesnt show.i opened the cd tray while it was showing my memory cards. then i closed it and it said at the bottom of the screen," reading disc...,"only for a second then it went away'but it still didn't work.WHAT CAN I DO or CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Try cleaning the disc and laser. If that doesn't work, your laser might be pooched.

Is it making a clicking noise as the disc is in the drive? If so then the laser that reads the disc is going out. In that case then get a new one. But if it isn't clicking take it into gamestop or ebgames. They should be able to help.

the same thing happened to me a while ago, so i took it to a eb games to see if i could sell it, and apparently they had a deal where you could trade in a ps2 for a new slim one and they gave me it, without even checking if it worked so to answer your question, i don't know, this seems to have happened to a lot of people

that happens to me from time to time. check all plugs to make they are pushed in all the way. also take out the game and blow on it and inside the console to make sure no dust is on the lens. hope this helps.

Try cleaning the disk or inserting another to see if it will read that one..

Make sure the cords in the back are plugged in. That happens at our house all the time!

get a lense cleaner and if that does not work call sony they will tell u what to do or u may wait till november when the ps3 is coming out
