Should I Buy an Xbox 360 Arcade if I have the extra stuff?

  • Ok I have an xbox that is 3-4 years old and it has pretty much fallen apart. I was thinking that instead of buying another xbox 360 pro (which I own), I could buy an Xbox 360 Arcade because I have all the extra stuff. I have: 20GB Hard drive Wireless Adapter 4 Controllers Headset Xbox live membership(the year one) HD stuff Now I play xbox 90% of the time for Online multiplayer purposes. I just want to make sure that if I buy an Xbox 360 Arcade I will basically have the same thing I have right now and I'll be able to do everything that I could do with a Pro Version. If not, let me know why I can't etc. Oh and by the way, please do not say "Just buy a PS3." I personally want one but my brother and I need to agree on one and this is cheaper because we have most of the stuff. Thanks.

    When you buy the arcade you will get the basic console with a small memory stick instead of a hard drive, but since your going to use your old one this is not an issue, also the cables are not for HD but once again you got this covered. Buying an arcade is a smart idea if you already got all the extras because its the closest retail option you have to buying the bare console. Hope this helped :)

the only difference between the pro and the arcade is the hard drive, so you will be fine buying an arcade then putting your old hard drive in.

Yes if you have all the things that you say you have you can play online without a problem. A 20GB HD is going to fill up fast but if your not downloading movies or anything you should be pretty good. I had a Arcade with a 120GB HD before i bought my elite and it worked fine. (Also I own a PS3, XBOX 360, and Wii and XBOX 360 is a better overall experience then PS3)

Yeah... if you're happy with the 20 GB hard drive (and don't want to upgrade to the 60GB), you're absolutely fine just getting the Arcade - the consoles are identical, the extras are the only differences.
