For Christmas? Wii? Nintendo DS?
-
OK. I am a well-rounded thirteen-year old girl who does gymnastics, piano, ballet, hip-hop, figure skating, book club, comic book club, baby-sitting, etc. (And if you're wondering, it's not as hard as it seems, I love being busy!) I have NO game system and for Christmas, I know my mom's going to hate it, but I want either a Wii or a Nintendo DS. Yes, I know I should probably get like a PS2, PS3 or an XBOX 360 first, but i'm getting one of those next year (hopefully). So, Wii or Nintendo DS? Either way, I can play Rayman!

Answer:
You should get the DS. That way, if you are so busy you can't sit home and play, you could play DS in your free time. Also, after all the things you do, you should be exhausted, right? The DS doesn't tame much energy to play, while the Wii makes you move a lot. Don't take me wrong; I prefer the Wii a billion times; it has the greatest games ever and a web surfer. Its just that the DS seems to fit better in your lifestyle. What I would do? Ask for the Wii (the expensive console) to my mom (dad in your case) and save some money for the DS (the not-so-expensive console) and buy it in 2 or 3 months.

WOW, those are all such good gaming systems. They all have so many amenities, it's so hard to choose. If your looking for something that you can take on the go during vacation, I recommend the Nintendo DS. But if you want the real full gaming experience, get the Nintendo Wii. It is a lot of fun, and your excercising at the same time. So, for versatility, the Nintendo DS, but for full hearted gaming the Nintendo Wii!

if possible get a wii and ds because their compatible but if u can only get one, go with the wii, better games, graphics and better gameplay

If you want her to actually have a chance, I'd ask for a DS. Either is good, though from the way you phrased your question, it's probably hopeless anyhow.

I think that you should buy the wii. The wii has loads of different games and has a new way of playing. Instead of using a controller like in ps3 and xbox 360 the wii has a new type of control. so if u want to try something new then u should pick the wii. Ds is also good but graphics on wii are better and theres a wide variety of games for wii eg. shooters, adventure, group games etc. I think the wii is your best bet.

You can ask for anything. I believe you are going to have difficulty finding a Wii this Christmas. You will probably be better off asking for a D.S. and asking for a Wii for your birthday.

You seem pretty active. Id say get the Wii but I think that the hand waving non sense gets kind of boring and irritating after a while. The ds is good if you have a friend who has one cause then you can play anytime. The ds's graphics cant compare to the wiis, but the ds is a handheld so you cant possible ask for all that in one small game system. You can talk to your friends that are up to 30 feet away using picto chat which is in the ds system, you can also use "Ds dowload paly and that allows you to play a game with a friend while you or they dont have the ds game itself. They both support online multiplayer as long as you have either a wireless router or a ds/wii wifi usb adapter which is $40 at gamestop http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802254. The ds also has more games because its been out longer and the wii has only a few good games because no one company besides nintendo can make a decent wii game. Make sure you find games that you like for the system before buying it cause theres no point in buying a system without anything you can do on it.

Haha! This is actually a difficult question to answer. I really think it all depends on your situation. They're both great game systems with alot of great games, but there's plenty of factors to help you make your decision. Money - If you know your mom wants to spend as little as money as possible, go for the DS. It's $120 cheaper. Pretty simple. Multi Player - Multi Player is much easier with the Wii. You have to find a place with wireless internet for the DS no matter what so you can get your Friend Code, even to play with someone right next to you. The Wii has no hassle like that. (Though DS multiplayer if very fun and worth the small hassle.) Portability - You can play your DS anywhere. It's obviously not so with the Wii. Thats all i can think of right now, but you can't go wrong with these systems. They're both really great, its just a matter of what's best for you personally. Good luck, and have fun with whichever system you get!!
