Does anyone know when the PSP firmware 3.11 downgrader will be out?

Does anyone know if PSP Firmware 2.6 for U.S. work well with a Japanese PSP?

I have a Japanese version PSP and upgraded the firmware to 2.6 with a U.S. version firmware. Now my Region 2 UMD's don't seem to work properly. Please anyone who has an idea. I'm really desperate. Thanks
