How do you draft your own players in the nfl draft while playing franchise mode for xbox 360 madden 07?

ive tried and tried to figure out a way to draft your own players in the franchise but it never seems to work. It always says press A but then it says would you like to simulate the rest of the draft. Im new to xbox 360 and im just looking for a little bit of HELP!! pleaseee :) :)

I DONT KNOW YOUR EXACT SITUATION BECAUSE YOU WERE SO BRIEF BUT IF YOU WANT TO DRAFT YOUR PLAYERS, MAKE SOME TRADES TO GET NUMEROUS FIRST ROUND PICKS OR SIMPLY BOGUS A WHOLE SEASON AND HAVE THE WORST RECORD TO GET AUTOMATIC FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK. OTHER THAN THAT MY GOOD MAN; THIS IS A DRAFT; NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
