Why is Two-Face in Batman: Arkham City(video game)when he dies in The Dark Knight(film)?

  • Harvey Two-Face died in the movie "The Dark Knight." So why is he alive in the 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City? Does the video game take place during The Dark Knight events? That's where Harvey Dent became Two-Face but he died in the end of the movie.

    Well, many superheroes apparently share the same fate. Since many superheroes have been around for a long time, a load of artists and authors will create comics during this large time span. Needless to say, many of the story lines will clash, since the authors will not cross-reference with each other. In Batman's case, Christopher Nolan based his story off of one storyline, and Batman:AC was based off another, and it just so happened that the conflict area was with Two-Face. Hoped this helped! :D

Christopher Nolan's version of Batman is separate from the storyline presented in Arkham Asylum/City. It's a strange concept when dealing with characters based on comic books; there are so many stories by different creators and through different forms of media, but very few are actually connected or built off of the others.

The videogames don't take place during the movies. As far as the games concerned the movies never happened. Batman is also a comic book series not just a movie series, so don't base all of your information off of the movies.
