Hello, I have six years paintball experience, and I have never kept mine in the fridge...Not sure where you have heard about this, but all that is really needed to keep them in good condition is a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Also, you may not know this, but every week or so you should rotate the packaging/bags of your paintballs. Over time they can settle and deform the ones on the bottom (the weight of the others on top, pressing down can even rupture them in the long run). Flipping the box/packaging can avoid this as the ones on the bottom, become the ones on the top before any damage is done. I personally wouldnt keep them in the fridge as a) if it drops too cold it could ruin them b) if someone spills something on them, also ruined! I cant comment on the overall life length of your average paintball: but with rotation I had 1000 (fairly expensive ones) which I kept forgetting to take with me, which lasted six months before I managed to remember them! Only broke a couple more than usual in the barrel too. I imagine the longer you keep them, the more the shape deforms and so the higher number of barrel breaks you will have! Hope this helps!
