Crocheting Help?

Crocheting a blanket--help!!?

  • I'm crocheting a throw and the instructions for rows 2-39 ( pretty much the entire thing) say to V-stich in each ch-1 space across. does this mean to v stich into every space or to skip one space? the last row had me skip two chains between stitches. if it means every single stich then my blanket seems like its gonna be somewhat deformed

  • Answer:

When I read directions, I have to read it slowly, lol Your first row should have been all chains...Then it most likely had you skip two chains while doing the second row....Now, to continue on, you would V stitch in the chain space of the V stitch on previous row. So, all your V stitiches will be in the V stitch chain one space. Hope that helps you a little. Have fun and Enjoy! :)

The previous row could be slightly different depending on the pattern.. The spaces in the previous row that were made by a ch 1 are where you will do a v st., unless it states otherwise, When I am following a pattern that does not have a diagram, I write each row of the pattern on a separate piece of paper and check the rows off when finished. I find this less confusing.

Each ch1 sp means every chain space.
