How much are wheat pennies worth?

How much are wheat pennies worth?

  • I have many wheat pennies with the earliest being 1909 to the lastest one of 156.. I really don't know much about these pennies just some info would be helpful.

  • Answer:

It depends on what the dates and mint marks are if any. Most common cents sell for .05 cents. The mint marked coins of 1909-1933-D all have some collect value ranging in hundreds of dollars to a few dollars each. The wheat cents from the 1940's as well as 1950's are all common but have collector value if in mint state. The 1955 double die is a rare coin but the only one from the fiftys. You can see a coin dealer for a price guide or a lot of magazine stores have Coin Values a monthly coin guide.

at least 2 cents and some hundreds of dollars, you cant loose collecting them, they are fewer because the US mint collects them and destroys them.
