I want to know how to make a cinnamon stain to "grubby up" my halloween and christmas crafts?
-
i've seen this done to other crafts (snowmen, santas,...) and like the primitive/rustic look, how can i do this? any tips to help my crafts retain the great scents would be appreciated too. thanks!

Answer:
You actually use coffee or tea for the "grubbying up". I usually use tea...boil the bags in a large pot then put the fabric in. The longer it sits the darker it gets. Once you have the desired look, wring out the material and place in the dryer to "set in" the stain. You can add vanilla and cinnamon to the water for a delicious scent. Good luck and happy crafting!
