What is the best brand of dress forms?

  • I'm a fashion student and I'm looking to buy a dress form for home use (to make stuff for myself and to also practice classwork/hw on). I want it to be adjustable to fit me, adjustable enough to fit the basic pasterns we use in class, and i want it to be drapable and markable. I've seen some dress forms where you put pins on them and they dont hold very well and the material seems too flimsy, and when you try to mark on it the markings come out off because of plastic-y material. I've seen dress form brands like Singer and Dritz at JoAnns and Prym-Dritz and Sew Winner at Hancock Fabrics. I'm not worried about the price because what I'm really looking for is quality. I want it to last a long time. We use the brand Wolf in school. What would be the best brand to use? The Wolf brand at school is very drapable and easy to use, but i cant really adjust it to my measurements lol. Should I get a store brand (like the ones i mentioned) or an industrial brand (which i think I'll only be able to get online)?
