How to make a bottle cap necklace?

What would be the easiest way to put a small hole through a bottle cap to put on a necklace?

  • I found a cool bottle cap and I want to put it on a thin necklace. What would be easiest? Burn a hole through it? Drill a hole? Thank you!

    Drill from the inside of the cap which would keep it from moving too much. You could start with the hammer and nail to make the indentation for the drill to set in.

drill a hole in it, or take a nail and a hammer, and hammer the nail through the cap and pull the nail out and you got yourself a cap with a hole in it

I use a drill with the smallest size bit.

I agree with using a drill, the hammer and nail option would leave rough edges around the hole, which if against the skin would scratch and be annoying. It could also cause a flat spot because you will need to be nailing it into a piece of wood or something similar.

Drill. If you want to make a pendant, I recommend a #65 wire gauge drill bit and a jump ring made from 20g wire.
