Does anyone know how to make recycled candy wrapper bags?

  I think it is slightly different from a gum wrapper chain. I think the links must be longer. check out tramp art on the web or google prison art on the web. I found an old leaflet on Tramp-art.com using scotch cellophane that may be part of the answer. I think the purses listed on the ecoist are made from large pieces of wrappers that they got directly from the factory that weren't suitable for shipment. Another thing I seen on the web is a purse made from cigarette packs. Sorry I can't help more- I was thinking of buying one of the coin purses just to take it apart and learn how to do it. Another thing to consider is that if you buy it from the ecoist you are helping impoverished woman in third world countries instead of trying to do this yourself just buy the purse and remember you are helping people make a better world for themselves.
