How much wood do I need to make a subwoofer box?

Help! I would like to make a spring loaded Joke box. Small wood box opens on top.With furry object to fly out.

• The one I saw was about 12"X12". On the side of the box was written free baby racoons. I opened the top of the box and this furry racoon spring loaded tail shot out of the top, remaining attached to this spring at the same time. If maybe you have a idea how you can help me Please reply. As you see I live in this boring retirement center and need to get there adrelenin flowing. I can have my son make this for me. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  well u need a box of ur choice and size, decorate as u wish. uneed a spring coil that will fit in the box,probably nailed down or screwed down and then u need a racoon tail or whatever u want to jump out of the box. and u would attach that to the top of the coil, the lid would need a hasp to keep the lid closed so someone can move it over and wahlah,ur "whatever"comes flying out of the box and scares the bejeezes out of them and maybe gives them a coronary . Won't that b fun.
