Can body aches be attributed to lack of sunlight and poor dark weather?
-
For the last week or so the weather has been amazing here in Ireland....and I felt that my energy levels, mood and well being was greatly improved by the sunlight. Even my leg aches ( all down the backs) had totally ceased and I found that I could do alot of walking. Over the past few days though the weather has been dark and gloomy...and my legs are back achy again...and my whole mood seems to be depressed. Could sunlight and weather really be a factor here. I read about this guy who lived in london and had ME/CFS for years...then he dragged himself out of his depressed low state and went to Thailand and lived with a beach community...and he sears the sunlight and weather completely cured him. I've also read that there is a much greater incidence of dis-eases like MS, CFS, SAD etc. in Norther Europe, Scandinavia, UK etc. Could this be to do with low vit D and sunlight...and could the changes in weather here really be effecting my body? Also can low vibrational energy due to bad dark weather be a factor here?

Answer:
I do know that personally I have three sleep disorders and get very little sleep and when I sleep the sleep is fragmented. I believe my delayed sleep phase syndrome (night owl) is related to never getting out in the daytime which causes many ills. I believe I have a kind of year round sads due to my sleep schedule and indoor based life not letting me get hardly any sun. I recently really researched sleep deprivation and found that every emotional, mental and physical symptom I have can be caused by sleep deprivation. this to my surprise included muscle aches. I discovered that in testing when they deprived normal people of stage 3 and 4 sleep, they all developed muscle pains within a short time. so if your lack of sun is affecting your sleep or causing depression, it could be a factor I am sorry I cannot remember the name of it, but I once read a book that was quite frightening to me. It linked lack of sun and artificial lights with all sorts of ills. I know there is a link between breast cancer and fluorescent light bulbs. But I do know that there is a definite link between lack of light in the right amount of lux and depression, In fact, light boxes are supposed to help not only reset the body clock from delayed sleep phase syndrome, but also help depression and are sometimes used in lieu of antidepressants. the sun also helps the eyes according to dr bates in his book the bates method for better eye care. also it you are feeling happier and less depressed due to the sun and light this is itself can lift your vibrational frequency.

If we start from TCM's theory Yin Yang,The answer is ye.Of course. If a person always has less sunlight and can't get much Yang from sunshine,The person will lack of Yang, and there are too many theory of pain from lack of pain, like no nutrition and it pain,no yang so no power to move the blood so it get block and it pains...Another example is if a person always having life in a wet place, the person will get arthritis which the reason is from both the wet,the cold and the wind...Seems too complicate but yes,if a person can not apply the nature to live, motive on daytime and sleep at daytime,it is called unnatural and will result unhappy things. What do you think then?I am the TCM learner and I know the importance of applying nature.
It is very possible. Vitamin D deficiency is suspected (and substantiated in some studies) to be a potential cause or related factor in many illnesses. In fact, it is becoming a suspect in a growing number of illnesses due to new studies showing a strong correlation of low Vitamin D3 in the blood and the incidence of disease. It is very hard to get the proper amount of sunlight at higher latitudes (including Ireland, Alaska etc) and it can be hard to obtain enough from vitamin's in a typical multivitamin.
