You need to boost the immune system with some garlic and echinacea. Astragalus, liquorice, marshmallow and golden seal are good as well. Look foir formulations containing these. Plenty of water as well. Vitamin C and multivitamins in general to keep your system up. Avoid dairy and sugary foods as these are of no help to you at this time. for cough nothing helps than : olive oil + lemon + hunny miixed together take one spoune on need it helps the amoune system and heals the sour throat from the cough damage. for runny noise , drinking flueds spacially green tea with ment and lemmon. Here are a list of the things/practices I use to relieve the inbalances you describe. 1)Yogi Tea "throat comfort" and Yogi Tea "breathe deep" are great at soothing the airway and throat if consumed regularly throughout the sickness 2)Eating raw ginger cut into thin slices is great for relieveing a sore throat and a cough. 3)As well, spicy foods do a great job at relieving a runny nose, I suggest wasabi. 4)The fever is likely the result of all of these other symptoms reaching a critical mass, (or maybe a bug),and for this I suggest a homeopathic medicine with the name Oscilloccinum which is available stores like Whole Foods, etc. A person in the homeopathic section should be able to advise you on some of the other similiar options. Just look for a store that sells yoga mats, green tea and candles and they'll point you in the right direction! haha Good luck to you and your child(ren), as the quest to find non-establishment remedies can be unfamiliar but Extremely rewarding.

Zinc lozenges for sore throats, (watch the dose), home made chicken soup (studies showed the electrolytes in the soup help sinuses--eat over the bowl and breath the steam), orange juice (not cold), lots of water, lots of rest, keep warm (if you don't have a fever). Cool cloths on head for fever.
