Go to a vitamin store. They have tons of supplements for "tinnitus," i.e., ringing in the ears.

You may have tinnitus. It can happen when you have fluid deep in your ear. You may want to go to an ear/nose/throat dr.

The sound you are hearing is called tinnitus...it is noise that originates with the ear rather than from the outside invironment. This may affect one or both ears. The sounds may be described as ringing or whistling. It is more common in older people, however can affect anyone. People who are prone to hardening of the arteris are at greater risk for tinnitus than the general population. If you work in a noisy environment you are also at greater risk. It is sometimes believed that Tinnitus is caused by such things as depression, or even a condition known as Menier's Disease (however, this is also partnered with extreme dizzy spells...where the room spins so uncontrollably that you must lay down and close your eyes) There are several more reasons...but I would take up a couple of pages...if it is truly bothersome...call your doctor I hope that I was able to answer your question.

I don't know how to stop it, but I have a high pitch sound in my right ear, it is very loud. I read on 2 medications that I am taking that ringing in the ears can be a side effect, so I think that is part of it, I did speak to my doctor about it, because this has been going on now for over a year, I had tinnitis in my left ear a couple of years ago and when the tinnitis left, I lost the same level of hearing in that ear as the high pitch sound was . And you naturally hear it more when you are still, use a fan when you are trying to get quiet time or one of those white noise machines, that is what I do, because it will drive you insane if you let it! Also we listened to our music way too loud, but I still turn the sound way up and put my head between the speakers so to speak, I mean, haven't you heard, some of our favorite old rockers have the same problem you and I do!!!!! Tinitis and then the hearing it's gone!!! T for TEXAS Miss T
