What should I wear to an internal job interview?

What should I wear to a job interview at a gym?

  • I'm 17 and I have a job interview tomorrow at a gym for a childcare position. i really want this job but i'm confused as to how to dress. i've never been to a gym, but i assume they want athletic looking people even though im not going to be in the actual gym gym.. What I've worn to previous job interviews are like a nice pair of black skinny jeans, nice flats, and a nice blouse (like thanksgiving with rich extended family nice) I wore this type of outfit because they weren't too serious interviews (Wendys, my current job, and AC Moore, didn't get) But this job I really really want.. more than anything. Should I go in casual.. as myself? Like some normal blue skinny/bootcut jeans and a red v neck tee shirt and moccasins? Thats what I feel like childcare workers wear for some reason.. like it will show that im.. energetic or something.. Should I go in in my slightly fancier casual like I described above? Even though its not fitting for a gym at all? Should I even go in more athletic stuff? I'm not sure what that would be.. I can't wear shorts because its 50 degrees out, and sweatpants are just disrespectful.. I don't know. Any help would be great!

first of all u never wear jeans for interview. second - u never wear SKINNY jeans for any serious place, especially interview. third - for a girl it is always proper to wear a dress or a skirt.

no mercy

Is there anyone you could borrow a dress or a skirt from? Or buy one from a store? Even a thrift store if you don't have much money. But you should acquire a skirt or dress for the interview.

Leave the make up at home and dress like a grandma. If you're going to be dealing with children it's important to look like someone who isn't going to sneak a boyfriend in after everyone goes to bed. Always make your words the center of your presence by leaving any superficial things like piercings, hip clothes and big hair at home. You're not there to be cool, you're there to take care of these people's children. Be aware of your surroundings; comment on a plant or something. Use proper language and never use the word LIKE, even if your comparing something to something else. Hands in view and turn your phone off. I hope you knew all this already. I have very little faith in the new generation. Prove us wrong dammit!
