How to rock an interview?

How do I rock an interview?? Any tips?

• Hi guys! Okay so this spring I am going to need to do an interview (I'm competing for something) and I am guessing that I'll probably be pretty nervous (I've never had an offical interview before) See the thing is, I'm a total people person, but if I think about something too much I freeze up and start getting nervous - sometimes I talk really fast or none of my sentences will make sense :P I CAN do things like that though (I had to do a speach last year before an entire auditorium of people, including my entire class- I was EXTREMELY nervous and at the pratice nobody could hear anything I was saying, but at the actual event I was totally fine, I also couldnt move my eyes across the crowd because when I did I lost where I was- I had to stare fixidly at ONE thing) Since this is not a speach I will not know exactly what I'm going to say, so I can't "practice" like I did before my speach... I really wanna rock this interview :D any tips??? Thank you in advance! :D

  Read books on how to interview well at your local bookstore (libraries can be outdated in this area). You will find tons of actual questions interviewers are likely to ask. Role play a lot with friends/family. There are free community services which will help you with interviewing skills too. Also use creative visualization techniques which is kind of like self hypnosis. It works amazingly well! Write out many positive things about yourself on paper and look at them before your interview. One hard question which throws many people is "Tell me about (your name inserted here) Who is she??? and then they just look at you... maybe smiling waiting for you to say any number of things. You can practice with a video camera, in front of mirror. One great tip is to think hard about whatever it is you DONT want the interviewer to find out about you. Then tell yourself that you are bigger than that mistake you made in your past. This way you won't have any negative energy holding you down/back. Also wear BLUE, any shade, because blue is a proven likable color that brings people success and gets people hired. Good luck!
