I need a fullproof fun, 30 second recycling activity/ experiment. Any Ideas?

I need my viewers to do this experiment and I want to WOW them. I need to proove that recycling is more fun than just throwing litter in the sea. HELP!!

I saw this poignant display at a science center, where there was a picture of a ladnfill, and everytime you turned the knob, it showed how high the level of trash would be if you removed one recycle-able item, such as metal, plastics, paper. At the end, the landfill was (theorectically) 1/8 the size it was from before. A more whimsical example of recycling could be oragami.
