How to simplify expressions?

How do i simplify algebra expressions with brackets?

  • Also how to do i simplify this expression 6x − 2 − (4x − 7) A thankyou in advance for all those that help.

  • Answer:

All you have to do is distribute the negative. That means -(4x-7) becomes -4x+7, the 7 being positive because of two negatives. So you get: 6x-2-4x+7 2x+5
