The Chinese and the Muslim calendars are also based on lunar cycles. Many ancient civilizations used the phases of the moon to mark time. North American natives, Incas, possibly Aztecs, Olmecs, and far eastern cultures all mark dates according to the Moon. Eclipse prediction using cycles built into Stonehenge were discovered in the 1960s. There were links to lunar calendar there too.
