Madonna's Sex/Erotica Era?

• What do you guys think of Madonna's Sex/Erotica era from 1992-1993? That was my favorite Madonna incarnation. I thought that Erotica was perhaps her best album: thematically cohesive and way ahead of its time. Overall, I think she had such balls to do what she did in publishing that book. She couldn't have told people off any better than with that book. I just hate how nowadays she's kinda written that time of her life off.. Ya' know what I mean?

  I love her during that period too, but Madonna has always explored her sexuality in phases. Her motherhood has toned her antics down a bit, but she is still a pioneer, always will be. I've been listening to her since Lucky Star and my fav movie as a kid was Desperately Seeking Susan. I agree, the Erotica and that sex book and even the documentary were all very eye opening into her life. She just had to grow up a bit and stay grounded for the kids. Her exposing herself now wouldn't share anything new, we all know every inch of her.
