Asian Pop Stars?

Is it wrong for con artists to rip off pop stars?

  • I was staying in Taiwan earlier this year, in this nice hostel. One of the other guests with whom I had hung out turned out to be wanted for a number of frauds. By the Taiwanese police, the Aussie authorities. The Japanese, the Chinese....the Singaporean....etc. etc. Thing is, he had conned a number of Taiwanese pop stars into playing into a charity concert. He had duped them into it by suggesting an even bigger pop star would be there. He was acquitted by the police, but I have to admit I can see little wrong with conning pop stars. They're so full of themselves, so into self-promotion, so into their "appearance". In short they're pathetic posers. Ripping off poor people - now that is bad. But pop stars? They're mostly idiots. What do you think about it? Ed

  • Answer:

Yes it's wrong. Regardless of how rich or popular someone is it's wrong to steal from them. Whether it's some rich businessman or a celebrity.
