How to advertise online tutoring service?

Has anyone used a tutoring service called "CLUBZ"?

• How was your experience with this service? I'm looking for a tutoring service for my 8 year old. I looked into Sylvan but it was suggested that a one on one would benefit more for my son. Any feedback with this tutoring service? Thanks

  I've been a Club Z tutor. I've also been a public school teacher. My opinion is that this "club" varies greatly from tutor to tutor. Club Z does not provide materials, as Sylvan does. They depend on their tutors to provide their own materials. Therefore, some tutors spend the extra time to come up with stuff that matches the student very closely and others don't. The good news is that they always have you meet the tutor first. You can be prepared with a list of questions, maybe even including how much experience that person has with one-on-one tutoring. This will give you an idea of how many resource they have. You also are free to not continue with a particular tutor at any time if you feel they aren't providing what your child needs. Just remember that almost any program can be made to work well for just about any child. The key is parental involvement.
