How Do I Calculate My End-of-Year GPA?

• Hello. I'm a high school sophomore and lately my grades have been irritating me. I keep on trying to figure out how my school calculated my GPA for each of the previous quarters, but each time I come up with a different number. Let's use my first quarter as an example: English: 90 (1 credits, full year) Academic Decathlon: 88 (.5 credit, semester) Chemistry w/ Lab: 81 (1.4 credit, full year) Gym: Pass (doesn't count, I think---semester) French 2: 94 (1 credit, full year) Journalism: 88 (1 credit, full year) World History: 95 (1 credit, full year) Algebra 2: 86 (1 credit, full year) It says I have a 3.448 GPA. But how did they figure this out? I'll probably have to ask them eventually, but I figured I'd stop here first. So how would I calculate my full year GPA? Is it the averagre of all 4 previous-quarters grades, and then fit to a 4 GPA scale? Or do they take each separate GPA and add together/divide? FYI, prev. GPA are 3.448, 3.702, 3.652, hopefully 4.0 this time.

  There is no way to correlate the percentages with a grade. A table is needed. Is 100 a 4, 90 a 3, etc.???? Your percent average would be 88.463768 but there is no way to convert it.
