First day of highschool!!!?

I understand what your going through. I was extremely nervous when I started high school. Those 4 years go by fast. Just be yourself , bring or buy ur lunch depending on what is there that day, um where jeans and a preppy or girly shirt. If you get lost ask someone or ask a teacher they will help you. well,remeber that everyone will be new so no one will know anyone.The teachers will do some introductions like what ur name ectra ectra.Stay calm.Its a school,Just like your old one but on a larger scale.try and mix with people from your class.Keep in mind that there are loads of new people.Act like normal.Then your likely to find some mates who you will enjoy to be with,.

You will be alright on the fist day, just don't mix with the wrong crowd...and try and get to know other people.Go on the internet and learn more about your high school they should have a website. Teachers always treat you like gold on the first few months sometimes...you will be okay ..Be yourself!

No 1st days its just about getting to knoe each other

Ahh I remember my first day, I was mad scared..but once you get there all the scary goes away...I would wear something cute, but something you're comfortable in so you won't be all nervous about how you look..and I say take a big purse you can fit a notebook in..you usually don't do work but the teachers tell you what all you need for the class so you should write that down..I would but your lunch..and sit with some people that you have seen in your classes, more than likely they are as nervous as you are! and just be yourself..you will make friends..it seems scary but it's not..and if you get lost just ask a teach for help..at my school they where standing outside the door until the bell rang the first couple of days to help students..sooo just don't stress too much and you will make it :) it's honestly not that bad :D

I CANT STRESS ENOUGH TO MEMORIZE YOUR SCHEDULE BEFORE YOU GO TO SCHOOL! You need to relax! You are too stressed out about something that's not going to happen for a few months. My dad was in the Navy and I had to change schools, often. I was always the "new kid". Just be yourself. Treat your first day as all the other freshman will, as a new adventure. There are probably a lot of other students that are going to be as nervous as you. You are going to be just fine. Don't stress about things until you need to or you are going to have gray hair before you're 20! Lighten up and have fun. You are going meet new friends and have new experiences. This is the most exciting time you are headed for. Enjoy it! Don't dread it. Be excited and happy that you are about to start a new chapter in your life.

Can you go to summer school at your new school? It will be worth it, you'll get acclimated, meet some new friends, see how they tend to dress (but probably a little nicer than summer school during the school year). You can meet a 10th or 11th grader to ask the first day schedule. It's different depending on schools. Sometimes you get right into the work, sometimes it's book distribution, assembly, etc, it all depends. = ) Ask about lunch if you go to summer school. You can bring your lunch, but bring $$ to check out the cafeteria even if you have lunch. Maybe you will make a friend before lunch on your first day and you can hang with them, either in the cafeteria or where those who bring lunches hang out. If you go during summer school, you can make an effort to learn the school. If you don't go to summer school, go to the school over the summer, if it's open, to figure out the lay out. If you get lost -- ask where to go! = ) Don't worry about the classes you're taking, in a big school you won't be the only one. A girl who is going from my son's private k - 8 (with grades the same size as yours) to a big public school is in my son's Geometry class this year, so she'll be ahead of most of the 9th graders, and will have to take Algebra II with older kids, but there will be other 9th graders in her class. Her brother goes to the school so he let her in on what goes on. If you know anyone who goes to your high school, or your friends do, talk to them. Kids like to talk about their school, don't worry about asking! Try not to be nervous. It will be an exciting experience for you! Good luck!
