How should I work out for football?

How much work is high school football?

  • I used to play football, 2-8th grade, and when i got to freshman year i quit, because i would be taking several honors courses, then AP when i'm older, actually like 4/5 Honor/AP classes, so i knew i'd have a full plate, now I'm wondering if i could have actually handled it. I did this cause i have big plans, such as going to MIT for engineering, so i want to focus on school, and i figured football would intervene. Most people i know who played HS football went nowhere with themselves, and i don't want that to be me, so my question is could i handle all this, and get good grades,(at least 3.5 GPA) with 4 honors/AP classes, and football 5days/week, from 3-5 all the way through July for mini camp, and to at least Thanksgiving, depending on championships, etc... I handled it well when i was younger, always in the advanced class, but not 4 honors/AP classes. most of my friends play, but they're not nearly taking as many difficult classes as I am. I'd prefer answers from people with the same situation, or people who have had this situation, and how they feel about their decision. Thanks
