What are crash/intensive courses?

What to do when i haven't taken enough university courses to apply to university? I'm still in grade 11...?

  • alright here's the dealio. me naturally being very stupid, i didn't do enough research about if the courses i was taking were university courses, and i didn't take enough university courses. i took 1 English - University Course 2 Biology - University Course 3 Chemistry - University Course 4 Travel and Tourism - M course 5 Understanding Canadian Law - M Course 6 Introduction to Anthropology, Sociology and Psychology - M Course 7 Math - M Course 8 World History: to the 16th Century - M Course im really screwed right now because if i cant take the University courses this year, I'm going to have to take summer school and night school all together! because i really need to go to university. here's my plan. * go to guidance tomorrow, talk to her about taking psysics, and upgrading my math. so i'll have 5 university courses. * then in the summer i can take some other university course, to make that six, and in grade 12, i'll take whatever i need to take. but I'm actually so mad right now. because what if i cant change my courses?! and I'm stuck with what i have right now! i would have to make up 3 courses! by the time grade 12 comes along somehow! any advice on what i should do! if anyone has been in this position or anything you know about what to feel? i feel heartbroken, and stupid. I'm so embarrassed i don't even want to go to guidance, she's going to be so mad, or possibly even laugh at my stupidity. any advice or knowledge would be helpful.

  • Answer:

Well i guess the question is really what program are you applying to in university? what are the prerequisites? that would be helpful. My suggestion is that you go to the guidance and ask to change your courses...they normally do it if you have a really good reason for it! I switched from grade 12 university accounting to grade 12 university economics because i didn't like it. your reason is even more valid than mine.... Another thing..is your school semestered? If it is you can take the required courses next semester if guidance refuses to change it this semester.... If you need to ask more questions...just go on my page and e-mail me...i'll be happy to answer them:D Im in grade 12 in a Ontario high school so i do know a lot about these things:D Plz don't panic....im sure everything will be fine

Why don't you get through high school first and then worry about taking University courses. If you say you're stupid you shouldn't even try for University.
