What to answer in an interview?

I have an interview tomorrow at college. What should I answer for question "What are your bad qualities'?

  • I have this interview tommorow in collge that I'm applying to. And I was preparing to this interview by answering different types of questions. But I'm kinda stuck with "What are you bad qualities?" Can somebody please give me an example of answer for that. Thanks :)

This is a wonderful question for a college interview. Only YOU know what your true bad qualities are, if you have any? You want the interviewer to know that you can identify your short comings. So it is important to find something about yourself that may be considered a bad quality, if not by yourself then others. But I would suggest to identify small quirks NOT major crises. You don't want to appear as unable to manage situations. Some negative qualities may be: "I set my car "trip set" button to measure the miles between destinations and it drives my friends crazy". (reason for this quirk would be to establish that you always plan ahead, that you measure your goals for the most expedient way to accomplish them) then add that you feel that while some may see this as a bad quality I see it as being time efficient. "I think I may ask too many questions, I have been told since childhood that I just talk too much." (reason for this is to establish that you are inquisitive) "I know I am the loudest person in the room." (reason for this may be to denote I AM important) But basically look for small negatives that can been seen as strengths. Always be positive, but not arrogant. good luck tomorow........ Anna M.

college interviews are kind of a joke....they'll care more about your grades and extracurricular activities than anything...just show up, look nice, seem excited about the school, ask some questions, and its fine.

your Nervous show your bad quality

Tell them that you have a terrible time with not being so anal about organization. It always just kinda sticks. That's what I would do.But it would actually be true for me.

think hard. what is something that you can work on? for me I can be shy around new people so I would say "I am trying hard to work on being less shy, and I think that college is a great opportunity to overcome that." Its true too, I am in college and I am less shy now.

If you were able to sit back and ask what is it about yourself you would like to improve upon, what might it be? e.g., I find it difficult to focus when trying to work in a room that's a mess. I wish the state of the room didn't matter, but it does. When I do get down to focus on work and it's lunch time, I struggle with stopping what I'm doing and taking a break. I'm on a roll by then. Bad can be not all that bad.

Say your a perfectionist. Or that you currently aren't aware of any, because if you were, you would be working on fixing them. I was asked that same question for grad school, I just lied and made up some story that I was a bad speaker during college and that I worked hard at it, took drama .... yada yada I got accepted.
