Answer:
When I was at school I took all my GCSE's in year 11. (thats when everyone did) I know some schools let you take maths a year early. If you missed it I am sure if you talk to your school you will be able to take it another time. Check the exam board (Edexcel, AQA or whatever it is) to find out but you should contact your school also. Good luck!

they dont really count towards you actual g.c.se they are just trying to get you scared and make you revise for them. only your coursework is the main thing that counts towards your final mark. The modules and x.mas/easter/summer exams are about 4 times harder than your real g.c.s.e's trust me i have only just sat my .gcse's this year =) no need to worry! just chill =) and Good Luck !!

You can retake missed modules in Year 11, but do check with your maths teacher, or even better, the exams officer at school. But PLEASE do not believe the correspondent below who says they don't count - they do!

i forget how many module exams there are, ask your teacher about it and he/she may beable to have it arranged for you to take it. i think you will find that its not just the 1 module that counts for 11% but all of them combined, then the coursework and final exams

Yes if you have a valid reason to why you missed the exam.......

within the realms of reasonability i would say it is almost a cast iron certainty. it ought to be. i know from experience that in such circumstances, the examinig board will make some kind of allowance. ur school should know. if not u will have to apply to the relevant exam board for a dispensation. good luck. same age i think as my eldest so all the best, i am right with u on that one. xx work slowly but surely, no last minute panics and be confident in urself. always check then re-check and then re - re - check if u have time!!!
Really peeved
Of course, and if your school is like my old one, only 2 years ago i left, if you get a poor grade they let you resit!!
