What good paying jobs can someone with Dreadlocks get?

Can someone who quit school still get a high paying job?

  • I am 19 years old. I quit school at 17 years old. I quit mainly because I would always get into trouble and they were close to kicking me out of that school. (I wasn't being treated for my bipolar disorder back then.) But now I regret quitting and I think its to late to go back now. I am a much more calm and mature person now. I plan to get my G.E.D. and I want to eventually go to school and get a high paying job. What is the highest amount of money a person can make yearly that only has a G.E.D.? What is one of the highest paying jobs? And can I go to school for it/get the job with only a G.E.D? Thank you!

I am giving you a reference for high paying jobs that do not require a college degree, but do require GED and some advanced training. Many times you get this training on the job, by working your way up. My suggestion is to get free additional training in the military. If not that, try out for a railroad job. Railroads are benefiting from the high cost of fuel, they are one of cheapest ways to move freight, and are in the hiring mode. Railroad jobs train you too. Good luck.

After you get a GED you can still go to Junior College. If you do well in JC, the sky's the limit. You've learned your lesson, so work hard.

Get into a career based on relationships (which really, most careers are). Sales is where the money is at. I know many people in my industry (oil sales) who never went to college and are top dogs- it's all about who you know. I'm not saying to be a total kiss ***, but start out as something small with a company where there is room to grow. It will take time. However, taking time out of your day to ask colleagues/ clients of the company about his/her family (or a simple hello)will prove meaningful in the future. Start small, build relationships, and over time you might see yourself as a CEO. Experience and relationships makes it in business today. Good luck, and get going!

Yeah, you can still carry on with education in college that you want to. Also, you may have never thought about it before, but the world of business is always expanding and can be very easy. Find an investment opportunity and you can go far. instead of working for money, you can get your money to work for you. Even starting off small with buying shares or something is good.

Once you obtain a g.e.d. you should enroll in a community college to pursue a program that you are comfortable with. You will also find that the courses are laid back and that they will have remedial programs with any courses that you will find that are difficult. At the community you may choose a program that will help you to find a career that will make you happy. Make an appointment with a community college counselor to discuss the many programs that you will pursue and the classes that you wish to take. The best of luck to you.

With only a GED? Well, you can support yourself, but you can say good-bye to those dreams of being rich and having the good life. And you can also say good bye to having a family. The point of a GED isn't to get people a great paying job, but to prepare you for college. Take that GED, go to a junior college/ community college, and from there work towards a 4 year degree. From there, depending on your major, you'll make much more money than with a GED alone, but you probably wont break 100k/year. If you want to go beyond that barrier, after your 4 year degree, go into a grad school. You look like you care about your education and your future, so I sincerely hope you go all the way into grad school, and have good luck the entire way.
