What school supplies do I need for pre-school?

What school supplies will I need for high school? (:?

  • Hi! I'm going to be a Freshman in September. I've heard some people say that you don't need a lot of school supplies (at least not as much as you do in jr. high...) and most freshmen over-pack their backpacks with unnecessary school supplies. So, my question is: what do Freshmen ACTUALLY need? Thank you! (:

    the supplies u need are; 1.notebooks for each class idk if u wanna do like 5 subject and just do that but i write a lot so just my opinion 2.highlighters 3.colored pencils/markers 4.ruler 5.scientific calculator 6. sharpener 7.mechanical or regular pencil whatever u use, leads in case u get mechanical pencils 8. erasers 9. graph paper 10.a lot of loose leaf paper ur going to write like a bunch of things 11.pens/black,red and blue 12.folders for each subject 13.a composition notebook if ur taking science 14. a backpack maybe a messenger or a tote 15.post-it if u wanna like use it for class and other things 16. dividers/sheet protector 17.white out if ur teachers like lets u use different kind of pens 18.pencil pouch 19.glue 20.a pocket dictionary 21.index cards if u want for like test to study 22. and i strongly recommend a planner to write down ur schedule and class assignments the reason u need glue and colored pencils if ur taking like art science,history ur need glue and colored pencils u think ur going to be done with that in before high school ur wrong lol but ya there u go good luck iam also going to be a freshman this year

i'm only answering this because of the smiley face. normally, i'd just tell you to f*ck off. but high school supplies are pretty much the same as middle/elementary school supplies. just get the usual stuff; folders, notebooks, #2 pencils, pens(some writing classes require them), etc. when it comes to calculators and expensive things like that, your teacher will tell you ahead of time because you usually need a specific model for a certain class. good luck, yo

I used to overpack all the time and I still do. A multi coloured pen will do, saving you bringing multiple pens. Bring a pencil, a small ruler (15cm that can fit in a pencil case), Small eraser/ sharpener (usually those ones that are two-in-one), a compass/ protractor when you are doing geometry and a few coloured pencils (yes they till ask you to colour in right up into sophmore year). You could have one arch lever folder for all or a few of your subjects (saves you carrying around multiple folders) But I prefer the ring binders as the arch levers always break on me a few months into using it. Usually they give you a list on what you need or they tell you in class a few weeks into the year. But I agree you don't want to be the one with the oversized bag. Hope that helps :)

the same exact garbage they needed at middle school. excluding the backpack as you have lockers now.

Yeah, don't buy anything right now, trust me you'll save a lot of money. You only need on the first day, paper and pencils/pens. The teachers normally on the first day will give you a list of what you need, most of the times you'll just need a binder,paper, and pens. You don't need much just the stuff the class needs. Normally most people have one of two things to carry their stuff, a large binder, or a backpack...but yes Freshman always over-pack and it normally looks like they have a 10ton load, because their used to buying their supplies in advance so wait and see what the teacher wants you to have for the class.
