What are the subjects to choose after 10 by a commerce student with an aim to become a Chartered Accountant?

  • i am a commerce stream student of class 11 th.I just wanted to know is maths an important one to choose if i want to be a CA?as my school is not providing maths to commerce stream students as a subject as every year many commerce stream students who take up maths in 11th they then get failed and tell that they want to leave maths.i am good at maths and the school principal has told if you want to take maths then i will give it to you but you will not have the classes for maths in school?what should i do should i take maths and study at home and give exam or should i leave it if its not a necessary for the post of a CA in banks?

    Can't you think if anything more interesting to do with your life? Obviously maths and 'english', together with any of the most boring subjects you can think of. Being dull and boring is a real asset if you want to be an accountant, and if you choose interesting things to study you might get distracted and regretful that you did not try for something that made you smile and laugh. So business studies as soon as you can get it. I have to say that I am really puzzled by your description. Why do they not provide maths for commerce students? Where on earth are you studying?

You should choose maths if you could study it. I am also a student of class eleventh and I have chosed biology stream. But maths is also my subject. Maths will not be taught at school. So, I have to read it at home.
